Depending on what works best, you can ship your packages via air or sea freight. If you need your package quickly and it’s not too heavy, air shipping is the way to go. On the other hand, sea freight lets you ship without worrying about weight since the cost is based on volume.
How long does it take for my package to arrive?
Air Service: We have five weekly departures from Miami, Monday through Friday. Packages that leave between Monday and Thursday usually arrive at your home the next day, while those sent on Friday arrive on Monday.
Sea Service: Packages that arrive in Miami before Wednesday at noon will be in our Free Zone warehouse 12 days later or delivered to your home 13 days later.
How can I ensure my package is delivered the same day it arrives in Panama (except for special cases)?

What’s the difference between air and sea shipping?
Air shipping is ideal for fast deliveries, getting your packages to Panama in just two days after arriving in Miami. However, it can be more expensive for packages over 10 pounds.
Sea shipping is better for bulkier shipments, offering a more affordable option if time isn’t an issue.
For sea shipping, how is volume calculated?
Everything shipped to your PO BOX address in Miami within one week (Wednesday noon to Wednesday noon) is added to determine the total volume. Your package’s cubic size is calculated by adding up the volume of each individual package.
What common items equal two cubic feet?
Two cubic feet is roughly the size of four basketball boxes or half a mini fridge—this gives you a general idea of how much space your packages will take up.
What if I need to ship large items (e.g., refrigerators, motorcycles, TVs)?
Our locker service is designed for personal packages, not oversized or commercial cargo. We offer a lower rate through our specialized freight service if you need to ship large items. Contact us at ventas@fcipty.com for more details.
How can I estimate the size and cost of my shipment?
Use our shipping calculator on the main page to estimate your package’s volume and get an approximate shipping cost.
Are my packages insured?
Your packages are insured for up to $1,000 for loss, theft, or damage (excluding jewelry, artwork, electronics, personal items, and others). If your package exceeds this value, you can insure it for an additional 3% of its total value. Report any issues within one day of delivery to be eligible for a claim.
Where do I pick up my packages once they arrive?
If you used the Free Zone address (-Z), you must pick up your packages at our France Field warehouse in the Colón Free Zone.
If you use the Panama address (-P or -A), your packages will be delivered directly to your home or apartment.
How do you offer a low shipping rate ($15 for Free Zone and $30 for Panama) for any weight and high volume?
Our sea freight rates are significantly lower than air shipping—up to 10 times cheaper. This is because shipments arrive by boat, which takes longer but is a regular, cost-effective service for large-volume shipping.
What happens if my sea shipment isn’t ready for pickup on Monday in the Free Zone or doesn’t arrive at my home on Tuesday?
In rare cases, shipments may experience slight delays due to circumstances beyond our control. However, this is highly uncommon and does not impact the overall reliability of our service.
